Mardi Gras Colors Clothing

This February is loaded with colorful parades in the city of New Orleans, different krewes have been preparing their floats and costumes for months and it’s time to show them to the world. We visited some of the artists and their work is absolutely amazing. The base is normally made out of layers of thick styrofoam, that is after carved to give them shape and dimension. Most of the floats are recycled. Year after year they made some substantial changes, they can replace heads, hands, legs or any other pieces. and add layers of paper, paint and glitter before they take them out and about for one more year.

If you are going to be part of the parade either with a krewe or as spectator you want to be wearing the Mardi Gras colors. There are different variations and yes! we have options for every-body. Some people prefer the bright Kelly Green + Yellow + Violet combo, others go for the jewel tones Emerald, Gold and Violet. We know the weather may be uncertain, so having a pair of opaque tights with you may not be a bad idea, you can layer them with fishnets to make them more fun. For more style inspiration on how to wear tights in layers check this .

If you want to keep track of the Parade schedules and routes for 2020 make sure you go to Mardi Gras New Orleans website for detailed information of the routes.
