We're so excited to introduce our newest feature...
Two in Technicolor is a team featuring two lovely bloggers and friends of We Love Colors...
Every other week Kimberly and Collette will feature a fellow blogger they've recruited to get the scoop on We Love Colors tights. Kimberly and Collette are both fashionistas AND mothers so we're so excited to send them out into the blogosphere with their unique perspectives!
Without further ado...here is the very first feature by

Kimmie is the blogger behind Blue Paper Lanterns. She is a wife, mother, and works as a web designer. She brings adorable, comfortable style to life in both the parenting and professional worlds and looks beautiful and put-together all the time. Kimmie tried the Navy Microfiber tights and answered a few questions for us!
If not, what could make tights a more central accessory in your wardrobe?
I guess I've never really treated tights as an accessory, because I've always seen them more as a layering piece. Lately though, I've started experimenting with colored tights, and I can say that THOSE definitely get me excited to get dressed! A pair of colorful tights really changes the entire look of an outfit.
I'm still a bit shy about bringing attention to my legs, so I've avoided super bright colors, but muted blues, maroons and purples are definitely my go-to when I feel like my outfit doesn't have enough color.
On the other hand, I have a pair of fleece-lined tights, and those things are amazing. I look forward to wearing them ALL THE TIME, because it's seriously like wearing a pair of sweat pants that look like tights. I do wish those things came in more colors!
When grabbing tights to add to your outfit, would you rather have neutrals or several color choices at hand?
I lean towards neutrals (blacks, greys, creams) because they can go with anything. My favorite has to be grey though, since it's not as boring as black, and goes well with blacks and browns. I still have a hard time with deciding what to wear with colored tights, but it's something I'm actively trying to work on!
We Love Colors has tights for women of all shapes and sizes: How important is fit when it comes to your clothing choices?
Do you just throw on what you have, or are you meticulous about everything fitting properly?
I'm pretty meticulous about proper fitting garments. Granted, I'm not perfect and I hang on to some ill-fitting clothes just out of sentimental value or just because I really really love them, but generally, I'm pretty picky when it comes to clothing fit. I have a sewing machine that I put to good use! I always hem my own pants and try to take in the sides of clothing that don't fit properly.
Tights are tricky because women come in different sizes and shapes, and most stores only have a couple sizing choices (or even Forever 21, where their tights are one-size-fits-all!), so even if the waist fits, the length might not be right. There's nothing I hate more than tights that fall down during the course of the day, and you end up with the crotch of the tights around your knees. Or, that segmented-worm syndrome, as Sally from Already Pretty calls it, when the waistband cuts into your belly.
Comfort is important to most moms, but we generally would like it if our "comfortable clothes" also look awesome! Did you find your We Love Colors tights to fit in the "comfort zone?"
Yes, of course! The microfiber tights are awesome. They're thick and sturdy, so they stand up to me running around after my son all day long. Have you ever had those tights that were just so uncomfortable that you couldn't wait to take them off at the end of the day? We Love Colors are NOT those. I totally forgot that I was wearing mine the other day, until I looked down and realized my legs were blue.
What is your favorite color to wear? To decorate with?
My favorite color to wear... I'm going to have to say pink or magenta. At the moment I'm pretty obsessed with mustard yellow, but it's one of those colors that I can't wear every day because it's just so bright.
My favorite color to decorate with has to be a light blue or seafoam. Our couch in our living room is a pale baby blue and I love it! I also have some light blue paper lanterns hanging in my office/sewing room that I love. I've been wanting to paint some of our walls a light seafoam color, but then I'm afraid all our art/pictures won't match anymore. Maybe I'll do it for one of the bathrooms.
Why do you love these colors so much?
Our wedding colors were a Tiffany blue and pale pink, so I've been obsessed with picking up everything I find in the Tiffany blue/seafoam color. I've always loved that color, because it's not too girly or masculine, and it brings a refreshing pop of color into a plain room.
Compared to tights and hose that you have previously worn, what did you enjoy most about wearing a We Love Colors product (ie: durability, thickness, tag in the back)?
Oh my gosh, the tag in the back is awesome. I hate wearing my tights backwards (is there a front and back? I'm not sure, but I sometimes get the bottoms of the feet all pill-y, and I don't want to have that on top of my foot the next time I wear them), so anything to prevent me doing that is awesome. The thickness is great, too. I can pull them on without worrying about them ripping or getting snagged. I really hate snagging my tights!
Thanks so much to the Two in Technicolor team and to Kimmie of Blue Paper Lanterns!
