Caroline Geys was born in Belgium and surrounded by artists for as long as she can remember. She has dabbled and experimented with many different mediums during her career, and recently collaborated with other artists to create something unlike anything else she's ever made before: The Vortex Tunnel.
We began working with Caroline way back in 2009 with other projects using our tights, and were happy to provide more materials for Geys to make such a gorgeous installation that debuted at the LA Space Camp Gallery this year.
The main part of the installation was the textile tunnel made out of our tights, but really this installation provided the audience with an all-around experience with many other mediums including two-dimensional art like paintings and photography, three-dimensional art such as sculptures and glass art, as well as film and audio!
The collaborative installation aims to heal people through color, which is something we can totally get behind at We Love Colors!
They plan to recreate this amazing install at another venue in the future, so stay tuned! Check out the full interview with Geys here, and keep up-to-date with her artistic adventures on her website! And remember, you can always get yourself some imperfect tights for a bargain to make your own art with!
